Why the Bee?

Humor me for just a moment, and imagine that the name of the firm is, Bee Your Best Financial.  The matching tagline is, Financial planning the way it should Bee. In a world where we could be a little more playful in the financial industry, that’s what I would’ve done. Alas, this isn’t a pet store, and so we have to present a little more professionally. We knew from the beginning that we wanted to use a bumblebee as our logo. We tossed around names and taglines where the bee could be inserted. A bee is a great representation on many levels of what we are trying to do.

The firm is based in Colorado. Coloradoans love nature and the outdoors. We live to play outside! We are grateful for the beautiful environment that surrounds us. Statuesque mountains, rolling hills, lush meadows, roaring rivers and deep green forests are all a part of the landscape. None of these things are possible without the contribution of bees. Bees are vital to ecosystems, the food chain and biodiversity. Their pollination provides an invaluable contribution to the world around them. They make the beauty in the world possible.

Bees are incredibly focused and hard workers. They are reliable and dependable. Without fail, they complete their tasks every day. They work as a team. Each bee takes care of the tasks they are assigned, and also trusts the other bees to do their part. This is the way that we work with and for our clients. 

Lastly, a beehive is very much like financial planning. Everyday there are tasks that bees must complete to achieve success. All of the tasks build over time and have to work in tandem in order for the hive to thrive. There is so much to do that an individual bee can not do it all alone. The bee needs help. The bees work in their areas of expertise. If there are components that are falling short, the hive will fail. To achieve financial success, there are also tasks that you need to complete on a regular basis. Over time, all of those tasks build on each other to reach your goals and dreams.
